Chemical peels are a very popular cosmetic treatment and are a great way to improve the skins appearance. They are used to exfoliate the surface layer of the skin, which will allow new collagen through, giving you a younger, more smooth appearance.

At Sweet Spot MediSpa, our Jessner’s Facial Peel is a medium strength chemical peel that is highly effective in treating fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, acne, scars, and pigmentation issues.  Our second peel is the the TCA 30% chemical peel.  This deeper result driven TCA peel provides a more even skin tone and texture, reduces acne, unclogs pores, and minimizes wrinkles, fine lines, and scaring.  Scheduling these treatments in regular sessions will help the body’s production of collagen and elastin.

It is common to feel a slight burning sensation during the treatment.  Fans and cold packs can be applied for the short duration of warmth.   After the procedure is complete, the skin will start to peel in 3 to 4 days and continue for a total of 7-10 days post-proceedure day.  When the peeling process is complete, your skin will appear clearer with a glow due to a fresh layer of skin exposed.  Wearing SPF of 30 or more on your face is essential as well as limiting the amount of exposure to the sun.  Peels can be repeated every 15 to 30 days depending on the type of peel and client’s skin type.
