 CO2 Laser Resurfacing

The CO2 resurfacing treatment utilizes fractional ablative lasers to penetrate the skin’s superficial and deep layers, stimulating collagen production.

CO2 laser resurfacing is a versatile treatment that effectively addresses various skin issues. It can significantly improve skin texture, tone, and firmness and erase deep wrinkles and acne scars. It can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth out uneven skin texture, and fade pigmentation. For instance, it can help with skin tightening, reducing the appearance of stretch marks, and improving the skin’s texture. However, it’s important to note that individuals with lighter skin tones are better candidates for this treatment.

After CO2 laser resurfacing treatment, you may experience sensations similar to a sunburn, including swelling, redness, and irritation. It’s also common for your skin to itch and develop scabs. Be aware that it might take several weeks to see the final results, and you’ll need to follow a specific skincare routine for about 10 days after the procedure.

Adhering to your skincare routine is essential for the success of your recovery. A barrier cream, which acts as a protective layer, keeps your skin clean and prevents it from drying out. It’s essential to apply this cream as directed by your healthcare provider. Additionally, gently patting the crusting with a cold compress can help soothe your skin. It’s also important to avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen regularly to protect your skin during the healing process.

CO2 resurfacing treatment is recommended as an annual skincare procedure to maintain the resulting youthful glow.
